I was awestruck by the beauty of God's natural wonders today as I climbed Little Haystack Mountain, Mt. Lincoln, Mt. Lafayette, an elevation of 5,249 feet, and Mt. Garfield, an impressive 4,488 feet above sea level. Wow! I perched myself atop each and every peak and the others in between, just taking in the panoramic vistas. Bear, Jolly Time, and I enjoyed Mt. Lafayette together fully appreciating the moment. I ached to share the romance of the mountains with my husband and children. I cannot express, in words, the array of emotions that were within me today. I took rolls and rolls of pictures to share, but it will be my mind's eye that will forever hold these glorious mountain moments. |
