I only hiked four miles today.  Last night, I had a frightening fall just before pulling into camp.  I lost one of my trekking poles, so I'm hiking hut-to-hut until I can get a new set.  I tried to yogi a set from a group of U.S. Forest Service employees, but with no success.

I enjoyed my day at Galehead Hut.  I was able to sleep in the sold out hut as a work-for-stay, which is provided to thru-hikers.  I slept on the floor, which was no big deal, and treated to the guests' scraps of lasagna and apple spice cake.  The guests were awesome!  The Canadians decided, as a group, to leave enough food in the serving bowls so I would get a full meal.  I then did a presentation on my thru-hike experiences which was considered my work.  It was great fun and the first time that I shared my trail life to a fairly large group.  I was able to share my Walking for Walden mission completely, which meant much to me.
