I pitched my tent at Pig Farm Campsite last night with the intention of catching the sunrise this morning from Tinker Cliffs, a cliff-walk which stretches a half a mile.  Instead, I awoke at 7:30 a.m. and began my hike at 8:15.  Tinker Cliffs were amazing from every angle.  I shot two entire rolls of film and captured some on my cell phone to share with my family and friends instantaneously.  Apparently, Tinker Cliffs' name was derived from Revolutionary War deserters (tinkers) who hid near the cliffs and made pots and pans.  After spending at least an hour here, I pressed onward to complete my 15.4 mile day.  The hike was not difficult as far as terrain or even distance at this point.  However, I was parched! The rocks were hot and the climate was very dry.

I stopped for lunch at a shelter, Lambert's Meadow, and cameled-up before refilling my two water bottles knowing that I had nine miles yet to hike without any other water sources available.  At mile 721.8 I was famished!  I was also thrilled to see my husband with water in hand, at the trailhead...our second visit together since my hike began on April 4th.
