I took an off day today to prepare and plan for my next 111 miles.  I will be aqua-blazing through the Shenandoah Mountains!  Bear and I opted to canoe northward on the Shenandoah River.  So today, I went to Rockfish Gap Outfitters to purchase waterproof bags for my gear.  I also purchased a snake bite kit, mosquito netting, and bug-proof socks.

This evening, I went to Kroger's to pick up food, Father's Day cards, and a birthday cake and candles for Bear....shhhhh!  I selected a yellow cake which I will decorate with 31 gummi-bears.  I plan to pack it somehow and surprise him on Tuesday when we stop for lunch.  I soaked in a luxurious hour-long bubble bath before retiring for the evening.
