I hiked with ZipOff today, a retiree from Florida. We hiked over Old Blue Mountain reaching an elevation of 3,600 feet and Bemis which is a height of 3,580feet. The trail in Maine varies from boggy to solid rock. The white birches, balsam firs, and blue spruces create dramatic landscapes against the gorgeous and colorful skies and scenic mountain ranges in Maine. Today, Zip and I sat on the trail and snacked on handfuls of blueberries for 30 minutes. What a treat! Today was a perfect hiking day which I enjoyed immensely. |
