I woke up with sand everywhere! The strong winds blew my tent all night long. It made no sense trying to shake it off though. I began my hike with Ed and we hiked alone through more of the San Felipe Hills. The Sierra Club stocks a water cache about 14 miles from Scissor's Crossing. Ed and I enjoyed a long lunch together. I decided to do some doctoring on my feet, too. I used my new pocketknife to cut a hole in my blood blister. I felt immediate relief as the blood drained from my toe. I cleaned it and several more blisters with an antiseptic wipe and applied Neosporin and Band-Aids. My feet were good-to-go. We hiked into Barrel Springs after a good mileage day between 17 and18. |
