Today was a milestone day for me as I hiked successfully over Dick's Pass. It was here where I broke my rib glissading in heavy snow in 2006.  What a difference a year makes!  This year was just as beautiful hiking in the Desolation Wilderness.  The lakes set against the mountains always takes my breath away, snow-capped or not.  The Desolation Wilderness going north over Dick's Pass is one of my favorite sections on the PCT so far.  30-30 and I covered 25 miles today and camped at Barker Pass.
