A 2,650 mile charity hike...in loving memory.

June 5, 2007

Today, I hiked over Forrester Pass with 30-30, Fireball, Clara, and Patrick. The strong winds made my hike more difficult.  As we neared the pass, Peach, a hiker from New Mexico had been waiting for someone to come along.  Peach had surveyed the mountains by foot and could not find the trail.  Peach said,

"Ladybug, I don't know you very well but I need to change my clothes." Peach was shivering from the cold and proceeded to undress.  Brrrr.  I averted my eyes.  30-30 led the group with his GPS and we all successfully ascended the 13,000 foot cold and windy pass.  After summiting Whitney yesterday and hiking over Forrester today, I was exhausted and slow. But...the rewards were amazing. (See May pictures).
