Today, I hiked over Mather pass with 30-30 and Fireball.  We also saw Four Winds, Greta, Jacob, and Chigger.  30-30 reminded me not to glissade.  The snow was appealing for a ride, but icy and dangerous.  I then hiked down the Golden Staircase, which was a painfully slow descent because I am a cautious hiker.  My feet hurt from all the rocks and maneuvering.  I hiked 16 miles today and we all camped next to a creek.  We had a planning pow-wow in 30-30's tent to strategize.
