A 2,650 mile charity hike...in loving memory.

June 25, 2007

I slept so well last night.  I dreamed many dreams and woke up fully rested.  I hiked 21.6 miles today with Journey and Big City Boy.  I was eating lunch at Asa Lake when Journey hiked up and then BCB.  We were trying to figure out our route.  We all hiked around Asa Lake which didn't seem right.  I suggested we hike to the last junction.  Upon doing so, we all realized the trail sign had fallen down and was erected incorrectly, which is how we all got off the trail.  We turned the sign around so the PCT arrows were pointing to the PCT.

Back on track again, I meandered the afternoon away enjoying the gentle terrain at elevations hanging around 8,500 feet.  Journey was low on food so I provided her with some of my extra food.  I continued my hike listening to Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods.  I am camping alone and enjoying the serenity.
